What Keeps Iyengar Yoga South Bay Functioning “Behind the Scenes”?

In short, each and every one of you!

However, there is so much that goes on behind the scenes by the special volunteers below. We do not have paid staff and without their work, we would not be open. If you see them in class or in between, a friendly smile goes a long way….(they are probably already smiling at you!)

Mary Dunn

We are saddened with the passing of Mary Ann Dunn on February 9, 2025 who helped guide the long range vision of the studio. To honor the light and inspiration she brought to the studio we have established the Mary Ann Dunn Scholarship fund in her memory. Please read more about Mary’s contribution to the studio and the scholarship fund here.

Tejal and Jignesh Merchant

Tejal is one of our Level II Certified instructors and serves as our volunteer bookkeeper. Her volunteer work is invaluable to the smooth functioning of the studio. Jignesh, her husband is a voice of reason and calm as we call on him for advice regarding business matters. They are one of our hidden assets.

Scott Smader

Scott Smader, our Web Wrangler, has taken care of our website since its inception and continues to do so today. You will not see Scott at the studio, but he did teach here at one time.
